2018 Playoffs - Semifinals

21. march 2018 at 9:27 | Maestro |  Scores & Schedule

Playoffs - Semifinals (21/3 - 30/3)

Season's best players are entering the phase where the legends conquer. Each of them are 8 wins away of Stanley cup and each of them is capable to achieve it. However to gain 8 wins will require to beat 2 of the greatest world players ever in 2 separate playoff series which is not going to be an easy goal for sure. All 4 advancing players could be nobly honored The Kings of the pc hockey but at the end of the day only one could become the King-of-the-Kings. The new Stanley cup champion. The new Master. The Legend.

(1) Alaq vs SteelMaster (4)

Alaq wins the series 4-3 (3:2, 0:1, 0:2, 2:6, 4:0, 5:1, 4:3)

Career head-to-head matches: 2-0 for Alaq (3:0, 4:3)
Series review, by Maestro: As both players did not provide any review of their games, I will try to summarize the series based on the results. So, Alaq managed to win the first match 3-2 but then Steel showed off his 'brutal' defense. Two shoutouts in a row and low scoring just characterize the deathly style of this players. Moreover, he was somehow able to win the game 4 by scoring 6 goals to Alaq which is something which does not happen often. Thus, before game 5 there was a huge lead 3-1 on games for Steel and all the momentum on his side. But heeere cooomes Alaq! In next 2 games he outplayed his oponent 9:1 on goals and before game 7 the momentum changed sides, plus Alaq played at home. And Alaq wins by a goal. What a thrilling series! I am just wondering why Eurosport did not provide live broadcast of this special event. Good job, guys. Victis honor!

(2) North Star vs KonopesMaster*** (3)

North Star wins the series 4-3 (4:1, 4:3, 1:2, 1:3, 1:6, 7:3, 3:2ot)

Career head-to-head matches: 1-1 (4:1 North Star, 3:2 Konopes)
Pre-game preview, by North Star: N/A
Pre-game preview, by Konopes: I am just about to start my series vs North Star, I could not find my results against him in the regular season, but as far as I remember , he had one of the best defenses I played against this season, I think I did not score many goals and I believe I won one game against him however I think now my chances are not good as I did not play any games this season apart from league games, and North Star plays a lot in the russian league and maybe also plays some friendly (practice) matches, and 4 vs 4 etc. So my prediction is that he will win the series 4-2, but I will play my best , I am not giving up and I would like to make a good impression in what happens to be my last season in NHL04 online hockey.

Guys, could you please post the results HERE on web site?

I do not have access to my gmail at work so I cannot update the site now.

I need to see results HERE, please!

PS - in PO you do NOT have to make stats through GPC anymore. You do NOT have to send it to league email anymore. There are NO stats records in PO. In this phase you only play for SC. Insted of GPC stats I would rather see your comments towards your games and you results. Here.

Thanks again

Thank you for the epic series of konopes, i hope you will return to online hockey and we will fight again. The main task was to contain Ovechkin and in some games I succeeded) If we write briefly on our series, then the first 2 games were won by me on my host. Then we played in Washington. The game was a serious delay and I lost them. Ping was often red. I did not ask for a replay, thinking that it would not be better. Then there was a 5 game series in which I suddenly lost at home. The opponent quickly led and most of the game throwing the puck out out of his zone. No, he did not interrupt the one timers in this way. Simply, when the puck was with him, he immediately sent her to me in the zone. Even the skipping was not. Opponent has the right to such a game, but with a 5 minute period, time flies very quickly. I thought this was the end, the turning point, in the series was 2-3. I did not expect to get caught in the 6 game. But suddenly the connection became playable - the ping did not exceed 90-95. It ended with a confident victory of the "Islanders". In the decisive 7 game missed 2 goals, seriously make a mistake in the defense. In OT Johnny Boychak with the passing of Tavares brought New York to the final.

congratulations to North Star, it was an awesome series, I lost first two games, thinking this might be a very short series

however I managed to come back, but for game 6 I changed my roster when I noticed I overplayed my first two lines. That was a mistake which contributed to losing the series, I mixed up the roster so my stars did not play much, but I lost big time

in deciding game I started off excellent, scoring two quick goals, but I did not manage to hold the lead, I pulled back to defense and towards mid of the game North Star started to take control of the game which resulted in two goals

it was very close, with chances on both sides, could have gone either way, this time it went to North Star's favour

Congrats :) and good luck in the finals, you are going to need it against Alaq, he is a scary opponent able to score in many ways, he plays in the russian league too so he will not be so rusty as I was, I think alaq will be much more dangerous than I was

I cheer for North Star since for me he is the underdog in the finals
